Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge

The first thing that jumped out at me was the round pillow, so I made a layered flower in Aqua Mist patterned paper (and then later rejected the double layers).  I added the lemon tart buttons to repeat the color, but am not sure if it made it too busy.  It also turns out that there is a sketch challenge at The Paper Players that was similar to what I had in mind.

Runway Inspired Challenge

I have been wanting the Piestra Tile Die for a while now, and I finally bought it.  

It seemed perfect for the current Runway Inspired Challenge.

I learned the hard way to try to enter challenges early, since usually by the end of it, 

someone has already entered one similar to my idea.

I had so much fun with N@Ali's  retro sketch card that I made yesterday,

I thought the center of the card I made yesterday was too flat,

A Happy Challenge

A happy, happy birthday card for the current challenge at Embellish Magazine. I also used this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I rotated the sketch, as usual.

Summer Beading

As soon as I saw the colors for this week's challenge at Play Date Cafe, I thought bracelet.  Living in Wisconsin I don't wear many bracelets in winter, since I am always in long sleeves. In summer most of my days off from work I do wear bracelets.  I used a ladder stitch for the bracelet.  Then since I already had the beads out, I made a matching anklet.

Another Father's Day Card

Another Father's Day card for challenges this week at ColourQ and PaperPlay.   I stole found this incredible deal on the Classic Convertible set by Stampin Up at a rummage sale.  On eBay it is selling for $60.00, and I paid $8.00.  And then of course because I had to use it right away, I drew a blank.  So I cased this card, substituting the correct colors for the challenge.

Week 24 - For a Man (with twine) 

Our challenge this week is called "For a Man - with twine" - it's almost Father's Day here in Ireland (and in the U.K., I think), so you could do something for a Dad or Grandad - but anything for a guy will do - but it must have twine on it somewhere.

Stocking Up

Happy Father's Day

One more card for this week's ColourQ challenge.  I missed the last two weeks, so I figure can enter a second card ~ my first one is here.   I like how the SU Summer Smooches DSP has both the Island Indigo and Tempting Turquoise in one design.  I also used the sketch at Card Patterns and focused on polka dots, which is the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.
