A Teacher Thank You

I've been working on teacher gifts for the end of the 

school year.  This card is for my son's teacher ~ who 

I am truly thankful for.  I used the sketch at Retro Sketches.

I am also entering it at Simon Says Stamp where this

week ~ Anything Goes.  I recycled an older PTI stamp

box to use for the handmade stationery (which I 

previously posted here).

Happy Birthday, Ardyth!

A bright rainbow birthday card for Ardyth of Maskerade.  

Ardyth is well known for her very colorful, graphic, and 

sparkly cards.  The very witty Ms. Darnell has arranged 

a birthday party for Ardyth.  You can link up your cards 

for Ardyth on Darnell's blog.  I created the stripes and 

"birthday" die cut with score tape and glitter.  I suspect 

I'll be cleaning up the glitter for quite some time ;).

Probably the quickest card I have ever made ;).

The cue word this week at CASology is "Royal."

There are many routes to take with this word, but one

 of the first thoughts that came to me was "royal flush."

  No, I am not a big gambler ;).  I do play video poker

on my Nook, and only every few years at a casino.

Another Father's Day Card

One more Father's Day card for work.  The majority 

of the Father's Day cards I made for work are here, 

however, there is one Dad who I really don't think 

would like one with a tie.   I used the colors at ColourQ.

Dad, It's Your Day

I have several cards for the challenge at The Paper Players to

make a CAS masculine card.  I am also posting at the 

52 Card Pickup.   I made four cards for Father's Day here.

After looking at them for a couple days, I decided on one 

that I wanted to mass produce.  This is a CASE of the first 

of them.  I work in a neonatal intensive care unit and make

cards for the babies to give to their Dads.  Previous cards

that I have made for Father's Day are here.

Another Sympathy Card

Thankfully I do not need this card. Unfortunately it seems that

 when I need a sympathy card, I have a hard time coming up with one.

Moving On ...

 I hope you all had a lovely and relaxing Mother's Day with

your families.  Mine was a rather memorable one, but not really
 in a good way ;).  My 8 year old son who has ADHD 

came home on Friday with a project that is due on

Monday, that took over nine hours of work to complete.

This was something that should have been completed at

school, but because of his inability to focus (despite being 

on medication), he was so far behind.  We would work for a awhile, 

and then take a break that we both badly needed. I ended up having

to cancel taking my Mom out to lunch to work on this project.

Of course, being my Mom, she was very understanding, and 

we will certainly reschedule.  If anyone has any suggestions for

writing projects with kids ADHD, I would be forever grateful.

On our breaks, I would work on a card to help to myself relax.

I am getting an early start on Father's Day cards for work.

I tried using some of the masculine color combinations

at the Dynamic Duos and combined them with another

challenge.  It is their one year anniversary ~ Happy Anniversary! 

We could use any past challenge colors. 

This is the one I am submitting to Dynamic Duos.  I am also posting

it at the 52 Card Pickup.

This one I used the same color combination and Heather's 

 Make It Monday ~ Beyond Paper With Impression Plates.

I used aluminum tape for the stars.

 
 

Here I used the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and the color 

combination of Pure Poppy and Black.

 

 

 

Lastly, I used the sketch at Retro Sketches and the

 Soft Suede and Pool Party color combination.

 

 

It's been a long weekend and I am going to skip a detailed listing of supplies.

The stamp sets were PTI Star Prints and The Craft's Meow Grads & Dads.

The patterned paper is retired SU Comfort Cafe.   If anyone
