A Christmas Thank You

A couple of Christmas thank you cards using the colors at

ColourQ.  I am also submitting a card at the 52 Card pickup.

I am substituting silver for the basic gray, and 

there is  a shiny green in the twine that is

very close to the Pear Pizzazz.

Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your families.

Ours was rather low key. ~ We went to a candle 

light service at church on Christmas Eve, and on 

Christmas morning my son just opened up presents.  

We're both sick ~ I hope we are better by Friday,

since my family will all be coming over to celebrate.

This very white card is for the PTI Blog Hop, and I am

also entering it at Simon Says Stamp! where "anything goes."

 

 

My card base is PTI white and  the background paper is

"Fresh Snow"by Reminisce.  The largest snowflake is

white felt with glitter cut with the larger Damask snowflake die 

and the snowflake on top of that one is cut out of glitter

 paper with the smaller Damask snowflake die.

Next is the limitless layers 1 3/4 " circle die in glossy white, 

and the top is embossed with the PTI peace be still impression 

plate and stamped with PTI Signature Christmas in SU basic gray ink.

Drawn Together: A Fundraiser for Newtown, Connecticut

Ordinary Moments

My heart just aches for everyone in Connecticut.  

I cannot begin to imagine what the families are going through,

especially so close the the holidays.

As I went through many ordinary moments with my son since Friday,

I kept thinking of all those millions of missed moments for the families ~

a rather interesting conversation that started out with 

"Mom, I hope Santa Claus never dies," ~

hearing what he was grateful for ~ reading, snuggling,

getting to go bowling with his friend and build a fort with him ~

getting to see him sing on Sunday at church and be

a character in a Nativity wax museum.

My prayers are with them.

A few pictures of my son on Sunday.

The "button" on his right arm was how the "wax figure" was turned on and made to speak.

Currently missing three out of four of his front teeth :)

This card is to thank the Sunday school director for all of the work 

she put into the program on Sunday.  

I used the colors at ColourQ and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.

A pink Christmas card for the color challenge at Dynamic Duos,

Snowflakes are my favorite die cuts, impression plates, and embossing 

folders currently.  Glitter paper for the (pink) snowflake is my favorite 

paper for the snowflake die cuts.

I turned the sketch on its side, so my washi tape would fit .
