You Bowl Me Over

Some Valentines for the "New" challenges at both
Simon Says Stamp and CASology and
the black and white with a touch of color at
Less is More.  I made twenty four for his class at school.
The "new" are the stamps ~ two of my sets for Christmas.
It may seem like I am ahead, but my son is a wrestler.
We have tournaments every weekend now for
the next several weekends.  He had his first wrestling tournament
today and came in fourth. Next weekend we have tournaments
on both days.  It's a long day since he actually wrestled for
only 12 minutes total.  Three one minute rounds and then
30 to 45 minutes in between matches. I'm sure
there are lots of tough sports for parents to watch,
but wrestling seems especially tough.  Either your kid is
getting "beat up" or he is "beating up" someone else's kid.
If anyone any great advice, I would welcome it.

  3. Is it wrong that I'm killing myself laughing that a wrestler is going to give out Valentines? I love it! I guess you have to remember that the difference is that wrestling is a sport, with rules to keep them from getting hurt. I guess it's true with all those self defense type sports, although I have a friend who has no problem watching her son take another kid down. I understand how it can be tough both ways. Good luck with it! And, finally, thanks for playing along with CASology this week, Jean!

  8. I must admit, I am happy that my two sons prefer soccer and baseball to wrestling or other "contact sports." I am with you, I would have a hard time watching that! However, I'm sure he enjoys it or he wouldn't participate, right? (Parenthood can be tough sometimes!) The Valentines you made for your son are perfect...so hard to come up with a good design for boys but you did it! Great CAS design...thanks for joining in at CASology this week!

  9. This is really a fun card, Jean! Great for the kids and I like it with both corners!

Sorry, I can't help you with the wrestling. In the Midwest where I'm originally from, it's really huge and a definite point of pride to have a son who is in wrestling. Even so, I'm glad our son never was interested and I can certainly understand the motherly angst! Hang in there. It's all regulated and these years pass so quickly.
