Catching Up ~ Summer School Teacher Gifts

Continuing to clean up my memory card.  Here are the cards

I made for the summer school teacher gifts.  I made six different

squares for different occasions and placed them on a piece of

acetate with glue dots.  Included with these were blank embossed

note cards with a place to glue the square.  I bought a large box of the 

already embossed note cards at Michaels using a 40 % off coupon.  

I made four sets of these.  I also had found a book of race cars from

the local library for only fifty cents that they were getting rid of.

I cut out the cars and matted them with black.  The "gift boxes" 

were recycled PTI stamp boxes.  The sentiment is from PTI ~ 

one of the Think Big series.  It was stamped onto a die cut from 

Spellbinders, and then I cut two more layers to mat.

 The race car cards were given to two teachers.  For under 

ten dollars, I made teacher gifts for six teachers ~ not bad ;).

Catching Up ~ Father's Day in the NICU

I am working on cleaning up my memory card.

No challenges ~ just posting cards that I made last year 

for the babies in the NICU to give to their Dads for 

Father's Day.  Often I use a card that I have made and

CASE it, making it easier to mass produce.  I used this card 

to CASE for the Father's Day cards for 2012.  

All of the details for the card are on that post.

    

 

I made these in 2010 using all SU supplies.

I made the pickup trucks cards in 2011 for Father's Day using 

SU Loads of Love.  I found an old automobile supply

catalog at a rummage sale that I used for the background

paper.  The trucks were water colored and then fussy cut.

Sequins, Sequins & More Sequins

Oh happy day ~ I was on call today and did not have to work!

Of course, instead of cleaning (like I should have done) I made 

three cards.  This month the blog hop at PTI is all about sequins.

For the Wish Big card I used the colors at ColourQ and used no 

stamps for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.  I found neon

sequins at a local craft store that matched a few of my neon 

inks quite nicely.  I used them to make a background for two
bright thank you cards.

I Only Have Eyes ... For You

A very quick post, since I should be in bed ~ being 

scheduled for a 12 hour shift tomorrow.  I made another

card for the "song" challenge at CASology using the

colors at Play Date Cafe.  I felt a little guilty about my last 

entry at CASology since I made my card and then found a

song to fit.  So, I came up with a song first, and then made 

a card.  The song is older ~ "I Only Have Eyes for You."

I also wanted to thank the ladies at Play Date

for selecting my last entry there for the

"Cream in Our Coffee."

Happy Easter X 18

I made these cards for the babies in the NICU I work at to give to 

their parents on Easter.  As soon as I saw Melissa's new series 

"Polka Dot Parade," I knew I wanted to use them for this year's cards.

I bought two of the dies, to make my work easier.  During  

the February countdown at PTI there were many cards using

the bunnies with negative die cuts and tags, and I have seen others 

since then.  I liked the idea of tags and negative die cuts. 

 I  worked assembly line fashion using three colors ~ 

Blueberry Sky, Summer Sunrise and Aqua Mist.

This is also why this is my first post for the week on Friday ;).

An Extraterrestrial Birthday

A birthday card for a nine year old who loves Star Wars.

Happy St. Patrick's Day X 24

24 cards for the babies in the NICU I work at to give to their

parents this St. Patty's Day.  I used the sketch at Retro Sketches.

challenge is "A Bit 'O Green."  I have three very slightly different

versions, because I ran out of the buttons, and then ran out of the

large glitter dots.

Hippity Hoppity

Wow ~ long time away from blogging.  My son caught a nasty bug,

and then he gave it to me ;).  Not only did we feel miserable, but it

was so exhausting.  Thankfully we're both doing much better.
