Here are the Halloween cards that the babies in the NICU

I work at will be giving to their parents.  I am entering them
at Simon Says Stamp! Wednesday Challenge for their 

Halloween (or Halloween colors) challenge.  I also made 

three very similar cards that I stepped up a bit.  I used a

scalloped die, popped up the main circle with foam dots

and added twine or rhinestones to the buttons. 

 These three use the colors at ColourQ for the 

super cute Halloween topiary.   When I started them, I

wasn't feeling particularly creative, so I searched for a

sketch to use.  I found one at Freshly Made Sketches ~ # 39;

they are currently on number 109.

Trick or Treat

I think this is my favorite Halloween card so far,

and another card with no stamping.  I used the sketch at 

CAS(E) this Sketch and the colors at ColourQ.  
Isn't that a fabulous table?  I love this inspiration.

Color Outside the Lines

One more quick card today for two challenges ~

at ColourQ and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

(to use a rubber or clear stamp).

I used watercolor crayons to color with,

and tried it with actually watercoloring,

but preferred it with just the plain coloring.

Black & White plus One

Happy Monday ~ I'm always a bit off from the rest of the world

with my work schedule.  I worked 12 hours on Saturday and 

Sunday, so today I was off of work.  I made a card for the ColourQ

challenge to use black and white with only one color.  This I can

do ;).  Sometimes I am completely stumped with four or five colors.

where anything goes.

A ColourQ Thanks

I really like the colors at ColourQ, but I have been

quite stumped at to how to use them.  I also took some

liberty with the Bermuda Bay and Certainly Celery. 

My Washi Tape is a bit brighter than those two colors.

A Grand Slam

One rather simple card for four challenges.  I usually combine

challenges, but its been awhile since I combined four.  I used

the colors at ColourQ which went along well with the masculine 

challenge at Simon Says Stamp.  Two challenges ~ Addicted to CAS

and A Passion for Papertrey both had circle challenges, and I almost

always use at least one Papertrey product on all of my cards. 

 

One more picture, non card related ~ from chaperoning a field trip

to the Milwaukee County Zoo on Friday with my son's class.

I am not bragging, well maybe a little ;) ~ but we do have one of the 

best zoos in the country.  They just opened a new exhibit with 

sting rays and sharks, and you can "pet" them.  The sharks were

less likely to get close enough to touch, but sting rays swam close to 

the edge and are very soft to touch.  The kids absolutely loved it.  If

you are anywhere near Milwaukee, WI this summer, I would highly

recommend going to the zoo, just to see this exhibit.  My son is 

the short one with his legs in the air ~ almost falling in  ;).

April PTI Blog Hop

It's time again for the PTI Blog Hop ~ this month the

focus is on tilting ~ designing on an angle.  I combined
