Birthday Balloons

A quick post with my son's birthday card.  I am entering it at

A Pink Butterfly

Oh, this summer has been flying by!  I've taken a break from posting
cards to just enjoy our short summer here in Wisconsin.  I really liked
how this card turned out, and it qualifies for three challenges.  I am
entering it at CASology for the cue word of "running."  I used a
running stitch.  I really liked this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.
It's CAS and monochromatic for the challenge at The Paper Players.
I realize it's fairly close to Jen's card, I hope that's okay.
I will be giving it to my Mom for her birthday, and her favorite
color is pink.

Paper: PTI White, SU Pink Pirouette & Regal Rose
Dies:  PTI Stitching Lines & Life is Beautiful
Additional Supplies:  DMC Embroidery Floss #'s 225, 602, 961, 962, 963

With Love

I finally finished my BORING project for work, so I
should have more time for fun cardmaking.  Anything
related to paper is automatically delegated to me at work ;(.
This card is for the "wood" challenge at CASology, and
the "anything goes" challenge at Simon Says Stamp
Wednesday Challenge. I used the SU Hardwood background
stamp and inked with the same ink and cardstock colors, so
hopefully the background is subtle enough to still be CAS.

Supplies ~
Stamps:  PTI 2010 Love Tags, Tag Its # 11
Paper:  PTI White & Soft Stone, SU Poppy Parade &  Basic Gray
Ink:  PTI Soft Stone, SU Basic Gray & Pure Poppy

Celebrate Today

Happy Anniversary CASology ~ Tomorrow is challenge 100!
It is my favorite challenge, as it gives so much freedom to
interpret the cue word any way you choose ~ no color or sketch
requirements.  I've had a lot of fun with some challenges coming
up with a different twist on the traditional way of interpretation.
The cue word this week is "Anniversary." I am also playing over
at Darnell's new challenge ~ "NBUS."  I am loving the new wet
paint sets at PTI, and the sentiment is from the newest set ~
Wet Paint III.  I stamped the sentiment twice ~ in basic gray
and pure poppy, since I wasn't happy with my first stamping
effort.  Rather than waste cardstock, I tried to salvage it and
am pleasantly surprised at how it turned out.

Supplies ~
Stamps:  PTI Wet Paint III
Paper:  PTI White, Soft Stone & Pure Poppy
Ink:  PTI Pure Poppy & SU Basic Gray
Dies:  PTI Coffee Cozy Details, Heart Prints, Limitless Layers - Hearts Stitches & Limitless Layers 2 1/4" Hearts

A Reverse Confetti Sketch

I always need to replenish my stock of
"Thank you" cards as the end of the school
year approaches.  I used the sketch at
Reverse Confetti.  I highlighted the stamp
with circle dies and used more patterned
paper than I normally do.

Father's Day Cards

I am the designated card maker at work.  This year
these are the cards that the babies in the neonatal
intensive care unit I work at will be giving their Dads.
I am submitting them at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday
Challenge for their "Father's Day / Masculine" challenge.  The
colors in two of the cards are the same as this week's
ColourQ challenge.  The patterned paper I used has
all of the colors for this week's challenge. I made
multiples of each of these designs, using up some
of my retired Stampin Up paper.

Supplies ~
Paper:  All Stampin Up ~ retired patterned papers, cardstock to match the patterned paper
Dies:  Die-Versions # 1 Dad Sweet Spot & Spellbinders Circle
